On the Ground Musicians in NYC
I saw Trevor Exter perform at the Wildflower Cafe’s fourth anniversary party. He is in the midst of a NY subway musician’s contest called NYC Soundtracks. Check him out.
Upon browsing the site I came upon another musician who I enjoy very much, Balla Tounkara, but the video disappeared after a year, so this is the best replacement video I could find of him performing in Montreal:
It is great to feel real people playing real music.

The subway has such great talent! I never heard that African instrument before – beautiful. My favorite musician in the subway is the ’saw lady’ (http://www.sawlady.com/blog ) and also the guy who plays the vibraphone.
Hmmm. I am glad folks are checking out the site. But I don’t really have a marketing strategy. . . or do I? Maybe I am doing this on some level for hope of fame and fortune. I did check out your site and it looks neat. I wish you the best of luck. Meanwhile, it looks like the videos I linked to above no longer exist in the location I linked to. I may need to find them in some other way. Maybe YouTube?? I’ll check.
I’m still learning about spam comments. The last comment was in reply to a comment which had a link back to the person’s, (or was it actually a person), website where he seemed to be selling blueprints for making your own marimbas. That’s all OK. But now I am getting a few more comments of a similar format. Plus the e-mail address for that first comment was odd. . . very numeric. Spam is getting more sneaky, making itself look like actual people trying to communicate.
